MCDC BOARD RETREAT

1. Call MCDC Board retreat to order
2. Investment of MCDC funds  and budget related items – Jason Weeks
3. Selection of members to various committees

4. Selection of members to be liaisons to other boards
• Chamber of Commerce
• Parks and Recreation
• MEDC
5.  Strategic Plan
• Mission Statement
• Goals
• Objectives
• Application forms
• Possible board projects funded in 2009-2010 budget
6. Marketing Plan
• Advertising in McKinney Living
• Advertising in Living
• Advertising in Neighbors – Dallas Morning News
• Yearly Report
7. Promotional Funding
• Review of 2008-2009
• Promotional funding for 2009-2010
• $50,000 MCDC funding for advertising

8.       The MCDC will now hold a closed Executive Session meeting, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, in accordance with the authority contained in:

1.     Section 551.071(2) – Consultation with Attorney on any Special or Regular Session agenda item requiring confidential, attorney/client advice necessitated by the deliberation or discussion of said items (as needed)

2.     Section 551.087 – Deliberation regarding Economic Development Negotiations – Project #A-45-Gateway Town Center

3.     Section 551.074 – Discuss personnel matters

9.   The MCDC will now reconvene into regular Session, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, to take any action necessary regarding the following:

1.       Section 551.071(2) – Consultation with Attorney on any Special or Regular Session agenda item requiring confidential, attorney/client advice necessitated by the deliberation or discussion of said items (as needed)

2.       Section 551.087 – Deliberation regarding Economic Development Negotiations – Project #A-45-Gateway Town Center

3.      Section 551.074 – Discuss personnel matters

Posted in accordance with the Texas Government Code, Chapter 551, on the 13^th day of November, 2009 at or before 5:00 p.m.
