In 2008 MCDC committed $5.5 million to the construction of the Dr Pepper StarCenter McKinney in Craig Ranch.  The ice rink includes two sheets of ice for hockey and skating, locker rooms, a concession area and two party rooms.  This facility will provide much needed sport and recreation opportunities to McKinney residents and visitors to the community.
