< BACK North Texas History Center 07/18/2005 MCDC has helped the North Texas History Center purchase museum quality lighting system and storage cabinets in past years. The History Center is located in downtown McKinney, one block east of the courthouse square at the corner of Chestnut & Virginia Streets. The museum is located in the old historic post office. In 2006 storage cabinets, computer hardware and software, and office furniture were purchased by the History Center to be used at the Farm Museum that is at Myers Park and Event Center. MCDC provided $42,000 for this project. North Texas History Center provides a window into the past for Collin County, and McKinney school children and adults benefit. < BACK
