2021 Empty Bowls McKinney: April 29 from 6-8 PM

McKinney Empty Bowls Event Logo

100% of Empty Bowls McKinney 2021 proceeds go to fighting hunger. We are in unprecedented times due to COVID and the need for food is great!

Did you know that 140,000 Collin County residents are food insecure, nearly 9,000 McKinney kids will go to bed hungry tonight, and 45% of food stamp recipients are children.

You can help and have a fun-filled family evening at the same time.

This unique annual event features a showcase hundreds of one-of-a-kind bowls handcrafted by professional and student artists. Guests come to share a sampling of gourmet soups, breads, and sweets that have been lovingly prepared by chefs from local restaurants.  They take home one of these empty bowls as a reminder of all the empty bowls due to hunger in the local community.

Due to COVID, we are moving all the restaurant booths outside and the bowls will be inside.  We will be observing COVID protocols and limiting ticket sales.

Proceeds of the event go to Community Lifeline Center to help stock their Lifeline Market and to Community Garden Kitchen to serve hot meals to anyone in need, no questions asked.
