Biography

Angela Richardson Woods has worked in rural community development for over 25 yearsas a Community Program Specialist with the USDA Rural Development Agency. She administers the Water and Environmental and Community Facilities Programs in the North Texas Area through loan-making, servicing and technical assistance to eligible applicants such as public bodies, community-based nonprofit corporations and federally recognized tribes.

Angela received her B.S. degree in Agriculture Economics and Masters Degree in Community Development from Prairie View A & M University. She has worked in McKinney for over 17 years. She and her two beautiful daughters felt McKinney was a great place to call home and have lived in McKinney for 9 years.

Angela is very active in organizations that serve the McKinney and Collin County communities, including the Collin County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Far North Dallas Chapter of Jack and Jill of America; and the Collin County Chapter of the NAACP.

Angela enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and serving her community.
