Angela Richardson Woods has worked in rural community development for over 24 years, most recently as a Community Program Specialist with the USDA Rural Development Agency. She administers the Water and Environmental and Community Facilities Programs in the North Texas Area through loan-making, servicing and technical assistance to eligible applicants such as public bodies, community-based nonprofit corporations and federally recognized tribes. Angela was also appointed in June 2018 by the National Water and Environmental Program (DC) to serve as a Team Lead for Texas outreach.
Angela received her B.S. degree in Agriculture Economics and is currently completing her Master’s Degree in Community Development from Prairie View A & M University. She has worked in McKinney for over 16 years. She and her two beautiful daughters felt McKinney was a great place to call home and they purchased their first home in McKinney in 2010.
Angela is very active in organizations that serve the McKinney and Collin County communities, including the Collin County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., National Charity League – Golden Corridor Chapter; Far North Dallas Chapter of Jack and Jill of America; Collin County Chapter of the NAACP; and Collin County Boys and Girls Club – McKinney Branch Parent Club member.
